Late Friday afternoon poll?

Late Friday afternoon poll? Thanks to BR, BereniceUK, and lavender_bleu below, I've spent half the day at Behr.com and now am itching to repaint my bathroom (and put some flashy trim in my kitchen and living room). What colors are your rooms painted? Do you love the colors or are you just tolerating them? Also, what about your bathroom in particular (this is the room I really want to paint next) - what color scheme is in it and do you love it or hate it? Do you have any favorite painting techniques other than just using a paint roller? My bathroom is currently off-white/cream/prussian blue, and it's been pretty good for around 10 years, but I'm thinking of changing it to...something different..with art glass beads on the walls, and maybe some iridescent paint treatment/ragging to make it an interesting room to relax in the bath in.

Kinda hard to poll this But sounds like you like a earthy blend of playful. I found (tiling at least) slate and my one splurge at the home depo expo (OMG), beach glass type 2x2 tiles with a bamboo engineered wall board and sea foam-ish paint nice. Complemented with a bright aqua fish type shower curtain cool :)

Painted all the rooms colors because I was so happy I finally owned a place even though it's smallish and I had never been allowed to paint my walls colors before in rental apts. bedroom: muted apricot terra cotta sort of color kitchen: white with grey details living room/office: dove grey bathroom: this was tricky because it has yellow and black tiles from the 50's I can't afford to rip out and also kind of like. I originally painted the walls dark periwinkle until my oldest friend ( who always tells the truth) was like "oh no baby, that is purple". So I repainted it robin''s egg blue and decided to go with the whole 50's thing.

fun except those weird color names in catalogues where you can't tell what it us like Danube or Wicker or Foam. I feel like if they want to come up with unrelated names names they should go for Decolletage or Caravaggio or Marshmallow or something.

I knew someone who would have killed to be the person who got to name colors in a catalog. She used to obsess about finding the exact precise adjective for all her clothes. I'd buy Decolletage, whatever color it is.

I love color I've painted my apartment over the years because I've been here so long, and figure I'll just paint everything white when I leave. so far: living room: ochre rag finish with white trim (and I want to add blue trim) kitchen: brick red (and I want to add ochre trim) bedroom 1: periwinkle with white trim bedroom 2: brick red with white trim hallway: olive green with white trim I have no sense of style whatsoever, but my apt architecture is a mix between the original early 1920's construction and 60-70's reconfiguration from flat to apartment. I love my clawfoot tub in my postage-stamp sized bathroom. The ceiling is painted with clouds and sky, and I want to keep that.

Tolerating. I crave a squash yellow living room, a toast-colored kitchen and a barely-shell-pink bedroom, but am too consumed with other things right now to get to any of it (as I haven't gotten to it for the 10 years I've been contemplating paint), so it all stays plain neutral white. Office space has two ivory walls, an orchid wall and a blue-plum wall. Bathroom walls are mostly a pale green ed, I think, hay (but never got finished after some work was done in there). Little hallway outside bathroom and bedroom has a dark-sky-blue ceiling, just because it makes me happy.

Great timing I want to paint one wall of our living room an aqua-ish color, but what accent color would you use? And I want to pain the kitchen an apple green, but our microwave and toaster are red, and I really don't like red and green together. Also, our fridge, stove and d/w are beige. I'd love to update all the appliances to stainless steel. Right now, it's all neutral colors, except one wall in the one bedroom that is getting painted some shade of purple.

I dumped my stainless steel, too cold for me and went back to the traditional &boring white appliances. The walls are red!

I bet that looks really good I just don't like too many competing colors, and stainless seems neutral to me. The kitchen floor (which I'd love to rip up) is a hunter green.

I've gotten into a rut with white trim on everything, and I'm thinking of changing that to something darker. What about a darkish blue trim? What are you thinking of accenting? (I have to admit that I was baffled by thepaint colors on the Behr website - I'm a simpleton and think in terms of walls and trim. What are the othercolors for??) I think an apple green kitchen sounds cool and calming - have you tried buying a quart and painting the wall behind your toaster and microwave to see how it works?
